Privacy notice
What we do with your information, in plain English.
64TEQ Limited is a UK technology partner. This notice covers our website, our tools and the ordinary business of working with clients, suppliers and the people who come to our community events. It was last updated on 16 September 2026.
Who we are
64TEQ Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 08353020, VAT number GB 153 7421 19, registered office Berkeley Square House, Second Floor, Berkeley Square, London W1J 6BD. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller, reference ZA450479, and we are the controller for everything described here. The Curious Mindset, our community for technology leaders, is run by 64TEQ Limited under the same notice.
To ask us anything about your information, email michelle.nayee@64teq.com, message us on WhatsApp on +44 20 3858 0264 or write to the registered office. A person replies.
The website
The site has no accounts and sets no cookies. What it does do:
- Counts visits. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which records which pages were viewed, roughly where from (country) and the type of device and browser. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites. We use it to see what people find useful. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a website that works.
- Remembers two settings on your device. Your choice of daylight or dark and whether the tool picker plays a sound are stored in your browser's own storage. They never leave your device.
- Runs most tools on your device. The licence position, what you already own, the device refresh planner, the contact centre seat sizer, the end-of-support checker and the renewal calendar work entirely in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us.
- Sends the minimum for the two lookups. The stock check sends only the part code you type to our channel availability feed. The warranty check sends only the serial numbers you paste to the manufacturers' own lookup services.
- Sends your questions to Claude for the three helpers. The pre-sales assistant, the estate reader and the licensing helper send what you type to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, through a relay we run, so that you get an answer in sentences. We do not store what you type or the answer. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms, which do not permit training on your data, and it may be processed outside the UK under the safeguards in our contract with them. Do not paste anything you would not tell a supplier: no passwords, no personal data about your staff.
- Hands you to WhatsApp for conversations. "Start a conversation", "Refer a leader" and "Partner with us" write a message and open it in WhatsApp. Nothing leaves your device until you press send there. From that point WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply alongside ours.
Working with us
If you are a client, a prospective client, a supplier or a partner, we hold the ordinary business information needed to work together: names, job titles, work contact details, what you have asked for, quotes, orders, contracts, invoices, support history and notes of conversations. We use it to reply, to quote, to supply and support what you buy, to invoice, to keep proper records and to stay in touch about things you have shown an interest in. Lawful bases: performing a contract with you or taking steps before one, our legal obligations (tax and company records) and our legitimate interest in running the business and keeping in touch with the people we work with. You can tell us to stop marketing at any time by replying to any message.
To deliver what you buy we share what is necessary with the people who help us deliver it: our managed services partner Next2IT for service desk and support, distributors and manufacturers to fulfil orders and warranties, Microsoft and other vendors to provision licences and cloud services, and our accountants and professional advisers. Each acts under a contract that limits what they can do with it. We do not sell your information.
The Curious Mindset
If you register for a community session we hold your name, employer, job title and work email so we can send you the details, let you in and tell you about the next one. Attendee lists are not sold or shared with sponsors. Sessions are sometimes recorded or photographed; we say so on the day and you can ask not to appear.
How long we keep things
Business records that tax law requires us to keep are held for six years after the end of the relevant financial year. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted within two years. Community registrations are kept while you keep coming and for two years after your last session, unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Website analytics are held by Vercel for a rolling period and are aggregated, not personal.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, ask us to restrict what we do with it and ask for it in a portable form. Email michelle.nayee@64teq.com and we will answer within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would rather you told us first.
Keeping it safe
Our own systems use two-step verification, encrypted devices and the least access each person needs. Our information security policy describes this in more detail. If we ever have a breach that puts your rights at risk we will tell you and the ICO within the legal timescales.
Changes to this notice
When we change how we handle information we update this page and the date at the top. Nothing on this page is legal advice to you; it is a description of what we do.
